Peru hosts the famed Cordillera Blanca. It embraces both the largest and most beautiful snow-capped peaks in South America like Alpamayo, Huascaran, Pisco,  Chopicalqui these are just an example of its beauty.  Additionally, slightly to the south lies more remote and technically challenging Cordillera Huayhuash. Further south are the Cordilleras Vilcanota, Urubamba and Vilcabamba with hundreds of less visited mountains in the south like Ausangate, Salcantay, Veronica and Collque Cruz.

The ideal climate for climbing between May and October, and its easy access allows climbers to finish the ascent in a short time. Additionally, the cities and towns located at the foot of the mountains provide travelers with a full variety of services including porters, guides, rescue teams and climbing gear.

Lima, Huaraz, Quilcayhuanca,Churup lake, Maparaju Mountain (5326 m), Cuchillacocha, Cojup, Ishinca Mountain (5530 m), Ishinca Valley, Tocllaraju Mountain. Akillpo, Honcopampa, Huaraz, Cashapampa, Ayhuarcocha, Alpamayo Mountain (5947 m), Llamaccorral, Huaraz, Lima.

Program :

Day 1. Arrival to Lima Airport, Transfer to the Hotel   depending of  arrival time would be possible to continue by Bus to Huaraz (3,090 m), 8 hrs aprox.

Day 2. Huaraz, acclimatization day

Day 3. With a private bus will go to Pitec area, after a trek to Churup Lake (4485 m), camp

Day 4. Today we will walk into the Quilcayhuanca Valley (4200 m), camp

Day 5. Continuing the trek to the Cayesh valley (4350 m), camp

Day 6. Today we will climb the Maparaju Mountain (5326 m) return to camp

Day 7. From Cayesh Valley trek to Cuchillacocha lake (4650 m), camp

Day 8. Today we will cross the Cuchillacoha pass (4850 m), descending to the next Valley of Cojup, camp

Day 9. Resting day

Day 10. Ascent to Moraine Camp from Ishinca Mountain (4950 m), camp

Day 11. Climb Ishinca Mountain (5530 m) descent to Ishinca Valley (4400 m), camp

Day 12. Ascent to  Camp I (5300 m)  from Tocllaraju mountain, camp

Day 13. Climbing the Summit from Tocllaraju Mountain (6030 m) return to base camp

Day 14. Traverse to the next valley of Akillpo (4600 m aprox.), camp

Day 15. Descending along the Akillpo valley reaching the Honkopampa ruins, short visit and return to Huaraz, Hotel

Day 16. Huaraz rest day, Hotel

Day 17. Bus from Huaraz, to Cashapampa (2900 m), trek to Llamaccorral (3600 m aprox.), camp

Day 18. Trek from Llamaccorral, to Ayhuarcocha (4100 m aprox.), Alpamayo base camp

Day 19. From base camp to camp I, (5300 m)

Day 20. Alpamayo summit (5947 m), return to camp

Day 21. From camp I, descent to base camp

Day 22. Return to Cashapampa and take the bus to Huaraz, Hotel

Day 23. Bus from Huaraz to Lima, Flight Home.
