Trekkings by country
Hiking over an Andean pass is hard work. If you are healthy and enjoy the outdoors, it is also the gateway to an unforgettable adventure. A trek in the Andes differs from other travel experiences you may have had. We intentionally visit areas and communities which are remote. We are engaging in an activity which is by its nature unpredictable. Your trip may not happen exactly according to the itinerary, sometimes adjustments must be made in the field. With an adventurous spirit and a healthy sense of humor, you will find that these difficulties take nothing away from the tremendous rewards of trekking in the Andes.
A regular trekking day begins with a cup of hot tea and after a hearty breakfast you set out, carrying a daypack with camera, water, a snack, an extra jacket, and your lunch. You hike with the group, or set your own pace for a noontime rendevous and picnic lunch. In the average daily six hours of walking there are lots of breaks for photography and relaxation. The equipment goes on ahead, so that shelter and warmth are at hand on your arrival at camp. Our professional cooks serve delicious dinners and handle all kitchen chores, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the mountains...
